Bob Bacha is a skilled and accomplished musician, trained in vocal and instrumental music education.  Of course, with an email like hittinthings@gmail.com, his prowess and skills as a master percussionist are certainly implied and understood!!

 

Like many musicians, Bob spent a career making his living in music education to supplement what he did professionally performing for local area restaurants, night clubs, weddings, and parties.

 

Bob is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. Subsequently he taught at the Lisbon Local School District in Lisbon, Ohio from 2019 – 2023 and also taught at various other high schools throughout northeastern Ohio in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana County schools. Bob also has to his credit a stint as percussion instructor at the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada!

 

Bob has an extensive performance resume as well, attesting to his refined skills as a percussionist in any musical genre or situation. Bob has performed with many musicians and singers including the following:

• Olivia Newton-John

• Don Rickles

• Neil Sedaka

• Chuck Mangione

• Johnny Mathis

Bob has also been the musical director for the following acts/shows:

• Stars of the Lawrence Welk Show

• The Diamonds

• The Crewcuts

• The Chordettes

• The Coasters

Additionally, Bob has been the featured artist with the Ruby Mountain Symphony Orchestra in Elko Nevada and the Columbia Orchestra in Columbia South Carolina.

Finally, as icing on his career cake, Bob has also performed as a section musician with The Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and the Ruby Mountain Philharmonic Orchestra.
